Rhea County 4-H offers a Shooting Sports program to any youth in 5th through 12th grade. Currently we offer trap shooting, air rifle and BB. We hope to incorporate archery as well. Team members meet weekly to bi-weekly to practice everything from hunter safety, proper firearm handling and care, and marksmenship. Members have many opportunities to compete at different ranges, as well as participate in postal matches. For more information, please visit the State 4-H Shooting Sports site.
We are also looking for any adult interested in participating as an adult volunteer leader, or becoming state certified to be an instructor. For more information on this program, please contact Aaron Spurling at the UT Extension Office at 423-775-7807 or download the registration form and submit it to the Extension office.
