Air Rifle

4-H Shooting Sports combines fun, safety, and discipline along with a healthy dose of competition to train youth in archery, BB rifle and air rifle under the guidance of experienced and trained volunteers. We strive to grow youth into responsible and productive citizens all while developing shooting sports and life skills. Parent or guardian attendance is required at weekly practices, so this is a family oriented activity.

Please be sure to read all rules and requirements before registering as we cannot accommodate refunds. Parents must stay with their student for the duration of each class.

Due to state regulations, students must be in 6th-12th grade to participate.

Spots are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Spots are not fully reserved until parents complete registration AND payment.

  • Parents/Guardians are required to stay at each practice with their student(s) due to the nature of shooting sports. As this program requires a lot of set up and clean up, we ask that students and parents lend a hand.
  • Students will be provided with an air rifle. If you are looking to purchase an air rifle, please speak with one of the trainers first.

Participants learn the basic concepts of the discipline, including terminology and specific safety principles from trained and certified volunteers. The Shooting Sports program teaches safety, responsibility, personal discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship while developing technical skills and in-depth knowledge.

Each session will include classroom learning and time spent on the range. Sessions typically last 1.5 hours.
