Junior 4-H Camp
WHO: Any 4th-6th grader (grade as of January 1 of current year)
WHEN: June 9-13, 2025
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: May 16, 2025 (or until our quota is met, whichever comes first)
WHERE: Clyde York 4-H Center in Crossville, TN
COST: Cost is $350 and includes lodging, transportation, meals, recreational activities, a t-shirt and a nametag. The camper should bring an additional $30-$40 in cash (small bills) to buy craft items or refreshments from the canteen.
TRANSPORTATION: A bus will be provided for transportation. All campers must arrive at the Ag Center & Fairgrounds in Evensville on Monday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m. to board the bus. The bus will return to the Ag Center & Fairgrounds between 11:30 and Noon on Friday, June 13.
PAYMENT: Payment can be made online by clicking the link below. Payments can also be accepted in the office via cash, check or credit card. Checks should be made payable to UT Extension – Rhea County. SPOTS FOR JUNIOR 4-H CAMP ARE NOT FULLY RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT AND COMPLETE REGISTRATION IS MADE. This includes the completion of the Activity & Event form along with a photo of the camper, a copy of the insurance cards and dates of immunizations.
ALL Camp Communication will be done via email or text. Please be sure to provide a valid email address and cell phone number when registering.
LEADERS: One adult is required for each 16 campers. If your parent would like to attend camp for free as a volunteer leader, please contact the 4-H office at (423) 775-7807 for more information.
Junior High 4-H Camp
Similar to Junior Camp, Junior High Camp is set up for 7th-8th graders at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center. Camp dates are July 7-11, 2025 and cost is $400. Transportation is not provided. 4-H Glamp & Stitch Quilt Camp is a unique camp for 6th-12th grade 4-H members, designed to teach and inspire youth through quilting. It is a 3 day/2 night camp at Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN. You will learn quilting techniques and complete a lap quilt to take home. Participants must be an experienced sewer and be able to use a sewing machine independently. Camp dates are June 24-26, 2025 and the cost is $250.00. Registration deadline is April 25, 2025. Space is limited to 20 participants.
Electric Camp
If you enjoy working with electricity, wiring, testing batteries, AND a trip to Main Event, then Electric Camp is the place for you! Electric Camp is open to any 6th, 7th or 8th grade student. Camp dates are June 24-27, 2025 and the cost is $330. Registration is due by May 9, 2025.
Target SMART Camp
Target SMART Camp is for any 5th-12 grade 4-Her and helps participants develop firearms safety, responsibility and life skills. It gives campers an opportunity to participate in skill competition in all disciplines (shotgun, muzzle loader, archery and rifle). Campers must be 12 years old to participate in the shotgun discipline. 2025 Camp dates are May 26-30 and the cost is $385 (includes lodging, meals, supplies and ammunition). Target SMART camp is held in Crossville, TN.
Fashion & Design Conference
Spend 3 days on the campus of Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, TN creating new projects, learning about fashion, meeting new friends, becoming a model and having fun! The camp is open at any 6th-12th grade 4-H member. Space is limited. Cost is $250 and camp dates are June 3-5, 2025. Registration deadline is March 28, 2025.
Academic Conference
Each year for 4 days, 45 youth are selected in project areas based on an application process and a 305A form. The top finalists based on their work in their project area are selected to attend the conference from Tuesday through Friday, taking part in various activities in their interest area, participating in a service project, and a trip to Dollywood!
State 4-H Congress
Designed for Senior Level I 4-Her’s (9th and 10th graders) to learn about state government first hand. This entails a trip to Nashville to meet with their local representatives, as well as hold mock elections for officials, debate and vote on 4-H issues, and a ride on the General Jackson Show Boat.
State 4-H Roundup
A yearly event that recognizes the outstanding project work and leadership accomplishments of senior 4-H members.
